Kimono

What do you know about Japan?

Do you like Japanese culture?

I am from Japan, but I don't really know about my country.

It is embarassing that I can't even wear Kimono (Japanese Traditional dress) by myself.

BUT

Fortunately, I have met this wonderful Kimono teacher at UH.

Ms. Sakihara teaches me about Kimono, and Japanese culture.

Today, I went to UH to learn how to tie Obi (Sash).

Obi is 14 inch wide and 13ft long.
From this really long obi, we can make many different shapes.

It was my first time obi creation.
I made flower.
(Does this look like a flower? haha)

If you have chance to wear Kimono, you should try wear it.

I will be helping dressing up Kimono at Honolulu Festival and International Festival.

These are my flower Obi collection.
